Searching
xLocation provides context aware search capability for travel products, identifying the product types available at different locations. For example, a customer searching for a flight will be presented airport and IATA city options while a customer searching for dynamic packages will see city, resort and other locations where accommodation is available.
xLocation facilitates creation of browsable hierarchies of locations served and products available in a search engine optimised manner.
Hierarchies can be geographic, activity based (e.g. ski destinations) or based on any other relevant criteria.
xLocation also enables proximity searching and sorting for products such as accommodation near points of interest.
Structure
A location could be a continent, country, state, city, neighbourhood, airport, terminal or any other entity that might be used to search for events & destination activities, hotels, car hire centres etc. With xLocation, this data is structured into a tree hierarchy that matches your organisation’s view of it’s destinations.
