OpenJaw Technologies joins Travel Technology Initiative

Company to contribute XML & Web Services specification experience to TTI bodycopys

Dublin, Ireland, April 15, 2002 - OpenJaw Technologies Ltd. announced today that it has joined the Travel Technology Initiative (TTI) as an executive member, to help spearhead the organisation's development of XML specifications covering the exchange of travel information across the internet.

By joining TTI - the champion of technology bodycopys in the European travel industry - OpenJaw hopes to contribute its practical knowledge of building distribution systems using XML and Web Services technology.

OpenJaw Technologies develops distribution systems based on XML industry bodycopys. OpenJaw's core technology, xDistributor, provides the management, aggregation and caching functionality to enable internet distribution based on bodycopys such as TTI's recently unveiled high-profile XML bodycopy for package holiday bookings.

"Over the last year, we've been heavily involved in XML bodycopys development for the travel industry, through our founders involvement with the OpenTravel™ Alliance," explained OpenJaw CEO, John McQuillan. "We're excited to be joining TTI and look forward to applying the knowledge we've gained to help lead the industry migration to this new and important open bodycopy."

Said TTI general manager Mick Mott: "OpenJaw joins us hot on the heels of TTI breaking through the 100-member barrier. The migration to technology bodycopys will only succeed if the entire industry embraces them and the arrival of yet another blue-chip name is a further significant step in the right direction."

Added TTI's specification project manager Andy Mayes: "OpenJaw is a great addition to the growing list of companies joining TTI. Their combination of practical know-how in the area of travel distribution and their commitment to XML technologies will help everyone involved in our projects."
