The xRez Internet Booking Engine provides unrivalled flexibility to deliver air searching and booking capability with simultaneous searching of multiple inventory sources.
OpenJaw also provides modules to enable virtual interlining of multiple air direct connects, building connecting itineraries using flights from one or more carriers.

xDistributor

xDistributor provides a single OpenTravel™ Alliance XML interface to any combination of these systems. OpenJaw's advanced business rules engine controls which suppliers receive particular requests, how the responses are aggregated and other business logic functions including sorting, filtering, removing duplicates, applying markups or discounts. xDistributor provides the capability to 'burst' multiple requests in parallel against each supplier system, with business rules determining the options in each request. This allows large amounts of data to be gathered to support availability checking against multiple suppliers, or to drive additional search requests when too few results are found for the users exact search criteria.

Display Formats

xRez offers multiple response formats to support different types of website and different types of fares:

• Grid Display - Allows a compact display when many options are available from multiple suppliers
• One Way Combined - Provides a list of outbound options and a list of inbound options, where the user selects one of each. Typically used on airline websites when carrier uses one-way pricing model for certain routes.
• Calendar Display - Displays a calendar of available days when the user indicates flexibility with dates
• Round Trip - Provides a list of round trips from which user selects
• Combination of round trip itineraries (from GDS) and one-way options from low cost airlines.

Sort Options

To better meet customer needs, xRez allows search results to be displayed using multiple sort criteria:

• Sort by Departure Time - order flights by departure time of the first leg
• Sort by Price - sort results based on the total flight price
• Sort by Flight Duration - sorting based on the total travel time for an itinerary

Standards

xRez supports the travel industry XML specifications developed by the OpenTravel™ Alliance for Air, Car and Hotel searching and reservations. Other XML formats can also be supported on request.

Architecture

xRez is part of OpenJaw's end-to-end XML product suite for travel distribution. It fully leverages the capabilities of the latest Java, XML and Web Services technologies. The xRez architecture is highly scalable and fault tolerant and can be deployed on Windows, Linux, Unix or Solaris.
