Project Manager
OpenJaw Technologies has a position open for a Project Manager, based in our Dublin office.
The Role
The role of the Project Manager is to be involved in the entire development cycle, from customer requirements to delivery of projects. The Project Manager must have the ability to manage projects to exemplary standards, have a very clear delivery focus and be adept at managing change.
As Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Working with project Technical Leads, with responsibility for the project planning, tracking and on time delivery
- Ensuring that tasks are assigned to most suitable resources and that they are properly utilised on projects
- Communication – attendance at weekly meeting with peers/managers
- Responsibility for the regular dissemination of information to direct reports and teams
- Contributing to Technical Roadmap
- The implementation and adherence to the company’s Software Process Framework
- Providing leadership and direction on your projects within the scope of the overall company vision and strategy
- Responsibility for managing timeliness and quality of their projects
- Responsibility for monitoring and tracking the financial performance of your projects
- Escalation of major issues / risks to the VP of Development in a timely and appropriate manner
Skills & Experience
- Commands the respect and support of Team Leaders and Software Developers both inside and outside of their technology arena
- Ability to steer and guide technology decisions at project group level
- Has experience of task estimation, project planning, scheduling and tracking and an awareness of the financial metrics that drive software projects. Will utilise and implement best practice and experience within own organisation
- Continues to pursue personal career development e.g. via personal reading, on the job experience, etc
Customer Management
Must have experience of customer/client interaction and engagement. Must be able to build strong relationships with customers, and strike the right balance between meeting customer needs and the needs of OpenJaw Technologies.
Willingness to travel and meet with prospects/customers to facilitate business growth.
Organisation / People Management
The Project Manager will be well-organised with excellent time keeping and priority management in order to achieve his/her goals. Must have the ability to structure and organise the team effectively. Moreover, they must display people leadership skills, recognise key contributions in an appropriate and timely manner and deal with team performance issues until successful resolution. S/he will have and will expect a high standard of professional behaviour, adopting the “Lead by example” management style.
Quality
Insists on the highest level of quality in compliance with the client needs or OpenJaw Technologies Software Management procedures.
Communication Skills
Excellent written, oral, listening and presentation skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers, colleagues and management.
Salary commensurate with experience.
