t-Retail Platform enables eBucks members in South Africa to enjoy redemption shopping of favourite products
30 May 2013 — Dublin, IRELAND —OpenJaw Technologies, a leading online technology partner of the world’s biggest travel brands, today announced that eBucks has selected the OpenJaw t-Retail Platform to provide an Online Travel Shop for its rewards programme. eBucks, the rewards programme offered by First National Bank (FNB) and RMB Private Bank, enables its members to shop for an extensive range of compelling travel products, from a variety of travel suppliers, on www.eBucks.com.
The t-Retail Platform provides eBucks with a powerful selling system for flight, hotel, and car bookings. The t-Retail Platform IBE enables eBucks customers to book travel on a range of customers and suppliers, including kulula.com, Emirates, British Airways, South African Airways and Avis, in addition to making domestic and international accommodation bookings. Members can now be inspired and shop for single products, or create their own holiday packages, in a seamless and satisfying user experience.
In order to give members access to a greater range of desirable rewards, and enhance satisfaction, the t-Retail Platform enables members to choose to pay in full with Rands or eBucks, or part-pay using a combination of both. Discounts of up to 40% are available to qualifying members paying in eBucks, in addition to qualifying people travelling in their groups. These competitive price discounts are administered by the eBucks travel team via the easy-to-use xDistributor interface. Within the t-Retail Platform, the discounts are calculated and applied by powerful Merchandising Rules.
“It is important that we offer our customers convenient shopping, a wide selection of travel products and more flexibility over their travel booking experience,” said Jolandé Duvenage, CEO, eBucks. “We chose the t-Retail Platform as it enables us to service the demands of the modern travel customer.”
“A successful rewards programme gives its members rewards they want – that is why travel is an important redemption category. It is also important for members to feel they can obtain their desired rewards so flexibility is also key,” said Kieron Branagan, CEO, OpenJaw. “As we have been providing travel solutions to the Loyalty sector for over 8 years, we understand what makes for a successful programme, and are pleased to extend this expertise to FNB and RMB Private Bank through eBucks.”
Other Loyalty and Redemption customers in the OpenJaw portfolio include Aimia’s coalition loyalty program, Aeroplan and LoyaltyOne’s AIR MILES Reward Program.
