Kieron Branagan

Chief Executive Officer

Kieron has 25 years experience in the technology industry as a senior executive, technologist and venture capital partner.
Before joining OpenJaw Technologies in 2007, Kieron was a partner at ACT Venture Capital where he gained extensive venture capital experience of building companies in both the software and semiconductor industries. Kieron has managed a significant number of venture capital transactions including fundraisings, exits and M&A.

Prior to the world of venture capital, Kieron was an executive at middleware company IONA Technologies where he held a variety of senior roles in product management, marketing and vertical business development as well as being responsible for the creation of IONA’s Airline & Travel Industry Group. Kieron has also worked for travel technology company Datalex where he held a variety of software engineering and management roles.

Kieron graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Computer Science.

John McQuillan

President

John is one of the co-founders, along with Seán Mac Roibeáird and John Lambe, of OpenJaw Technologies. As President, John has guided the Company through continual growth to being a leading online technology partner of the world’s biggest travel brands.

For over 25 years, John has been a senior executive at the forefront of travel technology working for companies such as Datalex and Westinghouse Canada. During his career, he has worked with many of the world’s leading travel companies, including Airlines, Online Travel Agencies, Hotel Groups and Loyalty Programmes, gaining considerable insight into their specific industry requirements and providing expert insight on successful eCommerce strategies.

John graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Electronic Engineering.

Seán MacRoibeáird

Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions

Seán is Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions at OpenJaw Technologies. In his role Seán is responsible for the full customer lifecycle from business analysis and project management to full solution delivery as well as the OpenJaw University.
Seán is a leading expert in the architecture, design and development of advanced travel technology and has spent over 10 years delivering such solutions to Airlines, Online Travel Agencies, Hotel Groups and Loyalty Programmes.

Prior to co-founding OpenJaw Technologies, Seán held the position of Senior Architect in the Web Infrastructure Group of Sun Microsystems. Sean has also worked in a variety of software development roles in the area of digital protocol development for many of the world’s leading telecoms equipment vendors.

Seán graduated from Dublin City University with a primary and Masters degree in Computer Science.

Declan McGuinness

Senior Vice President of Sales

In his role as Senior Vice President of Sales, Declan is responsible for the global sales organisation at OpenJaw Technologies. Declan has built a wealth of experience in Enterprise Solutions Selling and Key Account Management through his many engagements with leading travel brands where he has helped them achieve their travel retailing objectives through the OpenJaw t-Retail Platform.

Declan has been a career sales person since graduating from college. Having worked with USIT (the Student, Youth Independent Travel organisation), Declan held the position of Head of Sales for the Solutions and Consultancy Services Division of Ergo prior to joining OpenJaw.

Declan graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Social Sciences and also holds a H. Dip in International Selling from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Ricardo Navarro Alés

Regional Director of OpenJaw Iberica and Latin America

Ricardo is the Regional Director of OpenJaw Iberica based at our offices in Madrid with responsibility for commercial strategy, customer relationships and project delivery within the Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American markets.

Ricardo has over 15 years experience in industry having worked in both the travel and supply chain sectors delivering enterprise scale projects to companies such as Iberia Airlines, Telefonica, BBVA Bank and Repsol. Before setting up OpenJaw’s first regional office, Ricardo worked in a variety of software development and project management roles for travel technology company Datalex and for Adquira Spain.

Ricardo graduated from ICAI Comillas University with a Masters degree in Electronics and also holds an MBA from Escuela de Organización Industrial, both in Madrid.

Paul Byrne

Senior Vice President of Development

Paul is the Senior Vice President of Development at OpenJaw Technologies. Since joining OpenJaw in 2007, Paul has directed the teams that manage the OpenJaw t-Retail Platform and its components. Paul’s responsibilities extend from product management to product development as well as lifecycle management.

Prior to OpenJaw, Paul spent nearly 20 years at Datalex where he held a variety of software engineering and management roles. He spent 5 of those years in Atlanta, where he led the US Datalex development team delivering product based solutions to major US clients such as Delta Airlines, ATA, Gelco, United Airlines, AeroMexico, Cendant and Best Western. Prior to leaving Datalex, Paul led the customer project team which formed the basis of their enterprise leisure product offering to clients such as STA Travel.

In addition to directing OpenJaw’s development efforts, Paul is actively involved in the Irish Software Association’s Product Management Group.

Paul graduated from Dublin City University with a degree in Computer Applications.

Mark Lenahan

Vice President of Product Strategy

Mark is the Vice President of Product Strategy at OpenJaw Technologies. Since joining OpenJaw in 2006, Mark has played a key role in defining the product strategy for the OpenJaw t-Retail Platform and its components.

Mark is recognised as a thought leader within the travel technology industry and is a regular speaker at conferences worldwide on topics such as travel retailing strategy and redemption programmes.

Prior to joining OpenJaw, Mark spent over 10 years in the travel technology industry with companies such as VTI, Eland and SITA where he was involved in corporate travel management, call centre servicing, payments processing and system integration.
Mark graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Computer Science.

Morten Jørgensen

Chief Architect

Morten is the Chief Architect of OpenJaw Technologies. In his role, Morten has overall responsibility for the system architecture of the t-Retail Platform and its components.

Morten’s expertise extends from advanced XML technologies and complier theory to the design of large scale distributed software systems underpinning many of the world’s leading travel brands.

Prior to joining OpenJaw Technologies, Morten worked with Sun Microsystems at their XML Technology Centre and at XML security company, Vordel.

Morten graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington with a degree in Computer Science.
