OpenJaw to champion t-Retailing at industry events worldwide

OpenJaw executives to present on the latest travel retailing techniques and demonstrate technology innovations at TTI Autumn Conference, Loyalty Americas, CASMA Fall Conference and PhoCusWright Conference 2012

14 August 2012 – Dublin (IRELAND) – OpenJaw Technologies, a leading online technology partner of the world’s biggest travel brands, today announced that OpenJaw executives will present on the latest travel retailing developments at a line-up of international industry events over the coming months. TTI Autumn Conference 2012 (London): On 12 September 2012 OpenJaw President John McQuillan will present on the topic “Online Retail Gets Smart” at the Travel Technology Initiative Autumn Conference. John will examine how in the early days of online travel, many websites were either ‘me too’s’ undifferentiated from competitors’ sites or lacked inspirational content, with customer searches for product returning no compelling results. Many found it preferable to hand over their customers to white label providers rather than realize their own revenue opportunities around ancillary selling. He will illustrate how the technology has moved on and now provides the opportunity to have access to both unique product and a wide breadth of 3rd party products on the travel brand’s own site. John will look at how these factors, coupled with personalised offers of product tailored to a customer’s profile, can create a winning travel sales experience.

Loyalty Americas 2012 (Chicago): OpenJaw VP Product Strategy, Mark Lenahan has been invited to present at Loyalty Americas at 11.30 on Wednesday, 19 September. During this session Mark will help explore the topic “Positioning your loyalty program better through social media”. As moderator, Mark will lead panellists in discussing such points as how to leverage the benefits of social media; if a social media strategy should focus on recruitment or communication and if social media can deliver measurable results with incremental value.

CASMA Fall Conference 2012 (Nice): John McQuillan has been invited to make a key note address at the bi-annual Computerized Airline Sales and Marketing Association (CASMA) Conference taking place in Nice from 21 – 25 October 2012. The event seeks to identify new ways to innovate and elevate airline distribution in the travel industry.

PhoCusWright Conference 2012 (Scottsdale/Phoenix): OpenJaw will sponsor and exhibit at the PhoCusWright Conference 2012 which is taking place in Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona USA from 13 – 15 November.
