The OpenTravel Alliance works within the travel company and supplier ecosystem to make connecting multiple systems within the travel distribution arena more effective and efficient.

“OpenJaw was one of the earliest companies to lead OpenTravel project teams to create and adopt our specifications,” says Valyn Perini, CEO of the OpenTravel Alliance.  “We are gratified by OpenJaw’s continuing support and look forward to working with John and benefiting from his experiences in travel distribution.”

As co-founder of OpenJaw Technologies, John McQuillan is an acknowledged innovator, and has a track record of developing technology that breaks down the boundaries of complexity inherent in travel distribution.  John was an early advocate for harnessing the power of XML technology to develop efficient connectivity to third party supplier platforms and to create business rules-based relationships between suppliers and consumers.  Under John’s direction, OpenJaw has developed the market leading xDistributor XML middleware and business rules engine which has dominated the market for over 10 years.  This has recently been evolved to create the t-Retail platform, a complete travel retailing platform. Rather than grapple with complexity, travel companies can now focus on leveraging profitable retail strategies and delivering a winning user experience, resulting in significant commercial outcomes.

OpenJaw is also a member and active participant of the HTNG and Travel Technology Initiative standards bodies.
